Experiencing a love for the ocean from an early age, Jasmine’s teenage years were filled with water sports and diving. After scuba diving for a few years, she saw a Tanya Streeter documentary which showed the world champion diver freediving with Humpback whales and knew that the sport was for her.

Jasmine started freediving shortly after this discovery in Feb 2008 with the newly formed club, Sydney Freedivers (with no intention of competing).

After showing natural talent, she started training at a competitive level attending  her first competition in August 2009 where she broke 2 national records.

She continued her record streak over the next year, breaking 4 more records competing in New Zealand and Hawaii. She has held records in Constant Weight,
Free Immersion, Constant Weight No Fins, Dynamic Apnea and Dynamic Apnea No Fins.

Jasmine now resides in Perth where she currently runs training sessions and is working towards starting up Perth’s first ever freediving club.
