Tonga- August 2012 info

As we have Freedivers flying from all over the world this year, we have divided the cost in 2:

• Cost of Expedition- including everything from the moment you land in Ha'apai (transfers, hotels, food, freediving, yoga...)
• Cost of Flights- You will have to book you own flights between Australia and Ha'apai. We wrote down the best deals and the specific flights we wish you to book.

Dates:

• 31/07/2012 - 09/08/2012 Family oriented trip for Families with children. trip almost full
• 14/08/2012- 23/08/2012 Half full
• 28/08/2012-06/09/2012  Half full

All trips are open for registration. however - we try to fill the first two trips first.

Below you will find the breakdown of the cost:

Flights:

• Virgin Australia (http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/) offers great deals on flights at the moment.

Price for Adult (return) is $542 (not including baggage).

Once we land in Tonga we will be transferred into a hotel for the night (included in price of the expedition).

• Chathams Pacific (http://www.chathamspacific.com/) will fly us to Ha'apai.

Price for Adult is $190 (return flight).

Dates for booking the flights:

• 14/08/2012. Sydney to Tongatapu (DJ-183) leaves Syd 15:350 
• 15/08/2012. Tongatapu to Ha'apai Leaves at 07:30

• 23/08/2012. Ha'api to Tongatapu. Leaves at 07:30
• 23/08/2012. Tongatapu to Syd. (DJ-182) Leaves at 12:00

 FreeDiving and Whale swim Expedition:

Costs include transfers, Food (3 meals a day), Freediving (training and education), 7 days boat-trips including one trip to the caves and the arch, Whale swim, Snorkelling, Yoga, breathing sessions, 8 nights accommodation at Serenity beaches and 1 night at Keleti Hotel in Nukalofa.

Adult: AU$2970

so in total the cost is AU$3702 per adult (if you book the flights soon).

Not included:

If we do the Volcano trip (weather permitting and if the group wants to do it) it will incure a Fuel Levy by the operator as it is a 2.5 hour trip each way (42 miles).Airfares and associated costs ie excess baggage, travel insurance, visas etcHire cost of Paddle-boards, Kayaks, Surf-boards at the resort.

Deposits:

We will require 50% deposits for the Expedition portion within 2 weeks (AU$1500). Once you have placed the deposit and received confirmation we will ask you to secure your flights. The domestic flights in tonga are in small aircrafts and require booking long in advance so that you will have a spot.
